Journal Graphics’ state-of-the-art heatset web presses and bindery options ensure a professional product for our customers. We build long-term relationships by consistently delivering high-quality printing and excellent customer service.

Heatset Web Printing

Offset printing is the most common printing technique.  Ink is transferred from a metal plate to a rubber blanket, and then to the printing surface—paper.  Heatset web offset printing adds speed and efficiency to the technique making it effective for high volume press runs.

Heatset web printing is a type of offset printing technology that uses heat to immediately dry the ink on the paper before it exits the press.  Unlike sheetfed offset printing, with web offset printing the paper is fed into the press on rolls and exits as trimmed press sheets, or folded signatures made up of several pages.  The result is cost effective volume production of printed material including magazines, catalogs, guides, and brochures.

Bindery and Finishing

With heatset web printing there is no waiting for the ink to dry.  Bindery begins immediately following press production. In this process, press sheets and forms are transformed into magazines, guides, flyers, maps, or any number of other finished products.  Our in-house bindery options are diverse, including equipment for perfect binding, saddle stitch binding, inserting, folding, and trimming.
